This client owns a hardware store in Toronto. That detail became an important part of the design direction. The interior reflects their appreciation for metal, tools, craftsmanship, and ingenuity. Custom details were developed throughout the home, including a floor pattern designed to emphasize the natural veining of the stone and a cold-rolled steel fireplace detail with integrated lighting. The client’s favourite colours, navy and burnt orange, were also brought into the design in a way that felt personal and grounded. The home carries their identity without feeling literal.
